Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of SkillMatchLab, operated by TEKALYS. Creating an account or using the service means accepting them in full.

2. What the service does

SkillMatchLab is a recruitment support tool. It compares resumes with job descriptions and returns, for each pairing, a match score together with a detailed analysis.

The score supports a decision; it is never a hiring decision. Assessing applications and any decision about them remain solely the user's responsibility, and effective human review must be kept in the loop.

3. Access and accounts

The service is for professional use. Accounts are created by the user or by their company administrator.

Each account is personal. Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from their account. Any compromise must be reported without delay.

4. Prohibited uses

Users must not, in particular:

• upload documents they have no right to use;
• use the service for a discriminatory purpose, or base a decision on a criterion prohibited by law;
• attempt to reach another company's data, or work around usage and billing limits;
• extract or reuse the service's content on a large scale, in particular by automated means;
• disrupt the service or probe its security without prior written consent.

5. Uploaded documents and GDPR roles

Uploaded resumes contain candidates' personal data. For that data the user acts as controller and TEKALYS as processor, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

It is for the user to have a lawful basis, to inform candidates, and to upload only what their hiring process requires. A candidate-facing privacy notice is provided for that purpose.

TEKALYS processes that data solely on the user's instructions, reuses it for no other purpose, and does not use it to train any model.

6. Availability

The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance may cause interruptions; scheduled ones are announced in the application where possible.

7. Liability

TEKALYS owes an obligation of means. It cannot be held liable for hiring decisions made by the user, nor for the consequences of incorrect information contained in a document the user uploaded.

Analyses are produced by a language model: they may contain inaccuracies and must be reviewed.

8. Suspension

Where these terms are breached, in particular section 4, access may be suspended after notice has gone unanswered — immediately if the breach threatens the security of the service or other users' data.

9. Changes

These terms may change. The applicable version is the one published on this page on the day the service is used. Any substantial change is brought to users' attention before it takes effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes are brought before the competent courts.
